Emvita 23
Tense - Completely tensed up, helpless, impulsive, more readily thinking than acting, nervous tics, inner tension due to placing high demands on oneself, unconscious fear of failure
Constant feelings of tenseness, no ability to relax. That can take the form of involuntary twitching (tics), writer’s cramp or muscle tension along the cervical spine but also in a tense mode of speaking, grinding of teeth or intestinal cramps. Sometimes the tenseness is revealed in exaggerated discipline and excessive diligence. Seen from the outside, such people are often unusually friendly and conformist. The psychological underpinnings of this tenseness are based on an overly rigorous superego.
One frequently sees demands already in childhood for age-inappropriate correctness and self-discipline. As with other similar conflicts of the third-eye chakra, the tenseness is in fact based on a fear of making mistakes. At bottom, one is unforgiving of and strict with oneself before mistakes ever come into play.
